Never heard of Aphasia? You have now!

Creative Lens Video are proud to sponsor Aphasia Support and be able to tell their story through video.

Aphasia is a language disorder which occurs after stroke in the main, but it could be from a head injury, brain tumour, or it could be as a result of a type of dementia. There are 350,000 people with aphasia and a third of people after stroke will experience aphasia. Aphasia affects a person’s ability to speak, read, write and understand language.

Testimonial

Aphasia Support employed Caz Openshaw to film a promotional video for the charity in April 2023. Caz joined us on 3 filming days – interviewing staff, volunteers, clients, and carers at our office in Wakefield, visiting our Barnsley aphasia cafe and attending the homes of 2 clients in Bradford. Caz completed 2 videos for us – the first a short 2 minute video completed on short turn around for an awards ceremony in May and the second a longer more detailed 7 minute video. Caz was a joy to work and the process was smooth from start to finish. We are delighted with the outcome and look forward to showing people the final videos soon.”
